The Mysterious Benedict Society series is one of my favorites. It is exciting, and will keep you intrigued until the end. Join Reynie, Kate, Sticky, Constance, and Mr. Benedict on their adventure featuring codes, sci-fi, friendship, teamwork, evil businessmen, mysterious brain waves and stun-ray watches, this book has it all. The story is about four orphaned children who take a test for "special opportunities" that will change their lives forever. They go undercover to stop mysterious brain wave messages, saving the world from mind control, communicate through Morse code messages in flashlight blinks, and thwart evil villains in their tracks. I recommended the three book series to my reluctant reader eight year old brother, and as soon as he finished the first chapter, he could not put it down. I strongly recommend the Mysterious Benedict Society series to children of all ages, from five to one hundred.
