Eat 2 Explore Italy- Chicken Marsala



The Chicken Marsala was a fun dish that I hadn’t tried before. It is an Italian American dish that uses a variety of cooking techniques, resulting in a rich, hearty pasta dish with savory, creamy mushroom sauce over egg noodles and with golden brown chicken breasts crowning the platter. This was probably my favorite dish in the Italy box. 
The recipe is fairly simple- a creamy mushroom sauce, egg noodles, and chicken breast- but the pairing of the three and the very simplicity of the dish were very tasty. The egg noodles had a wonderful, slightly chewy texture that contrasted with the soft, succulent mushrooms and sauce and the tender, meaty bite of the chicken. Chopped parsley added the perfect pop to the bite. 

I enjoyed the easy preparation of the recipe as well as the end product- the sauce is built around the chicken and the pasta is simple to prepare, getting only a few dishes dirty- except of course for the many plates that will be stained as everybody comes to taste it!
